(Missouri Folk Arts 2022 Living Traditions Fellow,
in a letter of support for Pablo's fellowship as a living folk traditions Missourian)
"I have the honor of having been entrusted with the 2025 Living Folk Traditions Fellowship by Missouri Folk Arts. I invite all my friends, colleagues in the humanities, and extended global family to celebrate this induction. The reception and Latin jazz concert will be on Saturday, December 13th. 2-4p. Join me at the Historic Blue Room at 18th & Vine in this free admission gathering. This will be an occasion to express my gratitude for all the support I have received throughout my journey as a Chilean-born, Missouri-raised musician. My career, which spans three decades, is guided by a vocational call and nurtured by a community of congenial, in-tune local and international comrades. This fellowship invigorates me to continue opening new paths for bilingual Jazz and Latin music education, creation, and performance, always with cultural competence and artistic integrity as our principles. The Latin Jazz Institute (an organization I cofounded and serve as executive director) will continue to offer programming that edifies and deepens our understanding and participation in contemporary and traditional music as a living culture. Thank you for your presence and energy at the concerts, clinics, and festivals."
