Missing History - Youth Mentor Session
About this Event
Missing History - Youth Mentor Session
In celebration of The Royalty Project’s 10-Year Anniversary, we’re returning to the heart of what started it all—creating meaningful spaces for young people to explore their history, identity, culture, and potential.
The “Missing History” Youth Mentor Workshop is an interactive experience for Royal Youth ages 10–14, emphasizing Black culture, history, and achievement to elevate self-awareness.
Through cultural storytelling, facilitated conversation, interactive activities, and engagement with mentors, participants will explore stories and achievements that are often missing from traditional conversations about Black history. More importantly, we’ll encourage our youth to make the connection between the history that came before them, who they are today, and who they have the potential to become.
This is not a lecture—it’s a interactive immersive experience. Youth will be encouraged to ask questions, share their perspectives, engage with mentors, and discover the magnificence of Black history in a way that feels relevant to their lives.
