Charenee Wade is a dynamic jazz vocalist, composer, arranger, and educator known for her powerful voice, expressive storytelling, and deep connection to the jazz tradition. A rising force in contemporary jazz, she masterfully blends classic and modern influences, drawing inspiration from legends such as Betty Carter, Sarah Vaughan, and Carmen McRae.

A finalist in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition, Wade has garnered critical acclaim for her fearless improvisation and innovative arrangements. Her breakthrough album, Offering: The Music of Gil Scott-Heron and Brian Jackson, reimagined the socially conscious poetry and jazz-infused compositions of the legendary duo, earning praise for its bold artistry and emotional depth.

Beyond her solo work, Wade has collaborated with jazz greats like Wynton Marsalis, Christian McBride, Marcus Miller, and Robert Glasper. She frequently performs at premier jazz festivals, including Jazzmobile's SUMMERFEST, and venues worldwide, captivating audiences with her soulful interpretations and impeccable phrasing.

A passionate educator, Wade is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of jazz musicians. She has taught at institutions such as the Aaron Copland School of Music, serves as a faculty member at the Juilliard Jazz program, and conducts workshops and masterclasses internationally.
