Thank you for choosing to take part in the Miss Lee County Fair’s Outstanding Teen Competition on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. The competition will be held at the Lee County Fair Grounds, 2316-2358 Lafayette Pkwy, Opelika, AL 36801 at 7:00 pm. The fair grounds are located off of U.S. Highway 431 down from Opelika High School. A detailed schedule will be sent to you closer to the competition date to include interview time and candidate number. The committee and I are delighted to have you as a candidate in the Miss Lee County Fair’s Outstanding Teen Competition, an official preliminary to the Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen Competition. We look forward to crowning one of you as our new representative.To be a candidate in this competition, the candidate must be a resident of Alabama and be between the ages of 13 and 17. Candidates may not be more than 17 years old as of July 31, 2022, unless she is 18 years old and has not graduated from high school as of July 31, 2022. The winner of Miss Lee County Fair’s Outstanding Teen title will have the opportunities to promote the Miss Lee County Fair’s Outstanding Teen, Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen, and Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organizations at appearances throughout the cities, communities, and schools. She will receive an official crown, crown pin, a cash scholarship, and a prize package from a variety of local sponsors.
Miss Lee County Fair’s Outstanding Teen will be charged with the duty of being a role model for other young women and girls in the community. Miss Lee County Fair’s Outstanding Teen will be poised, confident, and exemplary at all times. Miss Lee County Fair’s Outstanding Teen will compete and represent Miss Lee County Fair’s Outstanding Teen at the Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen held in Alabaster in March 2022.
There are five mandatory phases of competition, private interview, physical fitness, talent, evening gown, and on-stage question.
The focus of any facet of Miss America’s Outstanding Teen organizations is the scholarship, the ability to provide young women with educational resources. As a franchise of the Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen Organization and part of the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization, the largest source of education scholarship money to young women, the ultimate goal of the Miss Lee County Fair’s Outstanding Teen, as a whole, is to offer educational scholarship awards. Below you will find the application documents for entry.
Deadline for all entries and pictures for judges’ books is Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
