Misalliance

Misalliance is one of George Bernard Shaw’s most spirited and surprising comedies. Set in the drawing room of a prosperous English family on a seemingly ordinary afternoon, the tranquility is shattered when an airplane literally crashes into their greenhouse, introducing a bold, unconventional aviatrix into the midst of polite society. As suitors circle, secrets surface, and romantic expectations unravel, Shaw turns the traditional courtship comedy on its head with sharp wit and deliciously tangled misunderstandings.
