Whether you’re a Shepherd’s Bush local, or new to this iconic market, see the famous railway arches in a new way and learn about the history of Britain’s Pakistani community through a moving story of migration and homeland.

Arch 165 will host an immersive production, featuring original composition from renowned sitar player Shama Rahman and original graphic design, across three walls of a beautiful Victorian railway arch. In a space normally hosting FreddieFoulkes Gallery, Mirpur: Atlantis of Kashmir takes over the space for just three days, inviting audiences to immerse themselves in a moving story of migration, and contribute their own to a unique living archive managed by Apna Heritage Society. The production features the stories of community contributors, the creative team’s own heritage and family histories, and innovative VR design.

Drop in at 15-minute intervals to see the production in spectacular 270-degree spatial projection. Lasting around 10 mins, the production will run on a loop with short breaks between each cycle. Visitors are invited to stay and reflect, share their stories, and explore the Market’s diverse and exciting culture showcasing the importance of migration in modern London.
