If music is playing, it’s likely boleros, a romantic genre born in the late 1800s that gained international popularity through the collaborations between Puerto Rican, Mexican, and Cuban musicians. 🎶Miramar brings new life to bolero with original songs and new interpretations of golden-era classics, blending influences like psychedelic funk and rock. The band features the captivating vocals of Laura Ann Singh and Rei Alvarez—also the group’s main songwriter—along with pianist and arranger Marlysse Simmons-Argandona and a rotating lineup of all-star percussionists, bassists, and guitarists.
