How does the night go? We start off with check-in from 7-730. While everyone is checking in you can grab your free drink from the bar and find a seat. When the dating begins, there will be one man and one woman per table. You will have a 5–8-minute date till I ring my bell. Once the bell is rung the ladies will stay put and the men will move seats for another date. You can take some time between dates or wait till the break to write any notes or names on your date card. These you keep private and turn in at the end of the night. Matches are when a man and a woman write each other’s names on their date card. I will email all matches within 48 hours of the event. This is the only way numbers should be exchanged at the event!

Q&A

Do I really need to be within the given age range?

• No, but you should be close. No more than a year on either side. The age ranges will change with each event.

What if I get nervous or don’t have anything to talk about?

• It’s normal to be nervous but remember everyone is there for the same reason. However, there will be ice breaker questions on each table just in case. You will be surprised how fast 8 minutes flies by!

What is a “match"?

• A “match” is when you say YES to a person on your date card, and they say YES to you on theirs. Date cards will be turned in at the end of the event. You DO NOT tell the person Yes or NO while in the round.

What happens when I match with someone?

• I will enter all the information in a spreadsheet to see the matches made. If you “match” then you will get an email with your matches contact information. After that you can make contact and get to know more about each other to see if you want to schedule a date on your own.

What happens if I don’t make a match?

• Its ok if you don’t make a match at this event. There will be more events and you just keep trying. Don’t get discouraged. The dating pool will change, and you can keep looking for your match!

When should I say YES on my date card?

• A yes does not have any obligation to it other than possibly exchanging contact information to get to know someone better. If there is any interest in seeing if you’re compatible. Say YES!

When should I say NO on my date card?

• Not everyone is your cup of tea and that’s ok. If there is no interest in getting to know your date more, say no. You don’t want to waste your time or theirs.

What is the refund policy?

• Things happen. We get it. You can request a refund up to one week prior to the event through Eventbrite. If you need to request a refund after the cut off time, please contact me at [email protected]. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
