Jim Stengel, a volunteer with the Red-headed Woodpecker Recovery project for 11 of the project's 17 years, will speak about the bird's recent history in Minnesota and show pictures taken at the U of MN's Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve.
These monthly meetings of the Minneapolis Audubon Society are free and open to the public. Bryant Square Neighborhood Center, at 31st & Bryant Avenue S, is just one block south of Lake Street, and easily accessible via the #4 bus, which runs every 15 minutes. For more information call 763-533-8381.
