Ministers in Schools Conference - Growing Faith: Being Human Together

This annual Ministers in Schools Conference will explore how churches, schools and families can work together to help children and young people flourish in faith, hope and belonging. Through inspiring speakers, practical examples and opportunities for reflection, the day will equip lay and ordained ministers, children's and families workers, and others involved in schools ministry with ideas, resources and confidence for supporting children and young people in today's world.

Growing Faith: Being Human Together is the annual Ministers in Schools Conference for lay and ordained ministers, children's and families workers, and others involved in ministry with schools across the Diocese of Chelmsford.

Children and young people are growing up in a rapidly changing world, shaped by questions of identity, belonging, wellbeing and purpose. This conference will explore how churches, schools and families can work together to help children and young people flourish as fully human beings and grow in faith.

Through keynote input, practical examples and opportunities for reflection, participants will engage with the Growing Faith vision and consider how ministry in schools can support children's spiritual development, wellbeing and sense of belonging. The day will include examples of effective practice from both church and community school contexts, ideas that can be used immediately in schools and parishes, and opportunities to learn from the experiences of others involved in schools ministry.

By the end of the day, participants will have a deeper understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing children and young people today, increased confidence in working with schools, and practical ideas for supporting faith development through partnerships between church, school and home.
