Martyr! by Kaveh Akbar is a poignant poetry collection exploring themes of faith, identity, and the human condition. Drawing from his Iranian heritage and personal struggles with spirituality, addiction, and recovery, Akbar examines the tension between individual challenges and larger cultural forces. The collection reflects on sacrifice, belief, and redemption, blending personal experience with broader existential questions.
