Get ready for an explosive experience and a week you won't soon forget!
Dive into the explosive world of mining, where you'll spend the week mastering the science behind detonations through hands-on blasting, rock-breaking experiments, and essential mine safety training. Witness firsthand how engineers harness powerful blasts to unearth precious minerals, sculpt dramatic landscapes, and carve iconic wonders like Crazy Horse from solid mountainsides.
Camp Details
Dates: June 8–11, 2026
Times: Camp will run 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day (Monday-Thursday). Lunch will be provided for campers. Thursday at 1:00 PM we invite parents to come on campus for a cookie reception.
Audience: Students entering their junior or senior year of high school, as well as recent high school graduates

All prospective campers must complete the following items before their summer camp application will be complete.

2. Complete student statement as well as teacher letter of recommendation.
