MINICOURSE: Painting Botanical Scenes Lessons i-iii, Eindhoven
About this Event
Welcome, creatives and nature lovers! This minicourse is for you if you've ever wanted to learn or develop core skills when painting groups or 'scenes' of plants. Whether you've a few paintings under your belt, or are just starting out with watercolour, I'll have some fresh tips and tricks for you to discover, with a demo. This workshop is particularly aimed at getting people outside painting greenery with confidence, whether that's in your garden or the local park. There is also a printed guide to take home.
Les iii features a venture outside (weather permitting, otherwise we'll be in the cosy studio) to paint.
NOTE This ticket is for the whole course/ all 3 lessons together (see dates above)*. This course can only be booked as a whole, so we can build skills and practice over the course.
We'll work on how to~
- Become familiar with your materials (materials included)
- Translate your vision for the painting on to the page
- Create colourful and beautiful botanical scenes
- Make painting a fun and stress-free experience!
Each session will feature a different scene, Les i & ii from reference photos, and Les iii from outside (within a short walk of the studio, please let me know if you have accessability difficulties) During each session we'll practice of some core techniques, including mark-making, brush, paint and water control, easy composition and layout. No botanical knowledge required!

Lesson ii~ Studio session (Sat 27th June 10-12.00)
Lesson iii~ Meet at the studio, then outside for painting (Sat 4th July10-12.00) Please dress for the weather, a water bottle if it's hot etc.
Laura Carter is a professional English illustrator, with several years experience of giving art workshops.
