About this Event

MiniCon is Franklin's annual product showcase event, our local take on NeoCon. Over two days at Bakery Square, the region's commercial design community comes together to explore the newest products, experience them firsthand, and trade ideas with the people shaping the spaces where we work, learn, and connect.

This year, two lunchtime sessions anchor the show, each tackling a different side of AI's impact on our industry.

Tuesday, November 3 | Putting AI to Work in Your Design Process, with Stacy Thorwart
Commercial interior designer and founder of The Intelligent Designer, Stacy Thorwart helps designers match the right AI tool to the right task and write prompts that reflect their creative vision.

Wednesday, November 4 | Pittsburgh's Next Act: From Steel City to AI Capital
Bill Flanagan (WPXI's Our Region's Business) moderates a lunchtime conversation with Steve Wray, Director of Economic Development for the City of Pittsburgh, and fellow regional leaders. They'll unpack where new companies and expanding sectors are landing, and what that growth opens up for all of us working in the region.

What to expect:

• Hands-on demos from top furniture, flooring, and interior construction manufacturers
• Networking happy hours each evening
• Fresh ideas and strategies you can bring straight back to your projects and teams
