Mini Makers Lab is a hands-on experience designed for young children and their caregivers to learn through building, experimenting, storytelling, and creative problem-solving. Through open-ended challenges and engaging materials, families will work together to design, test, and invent while strengthening curiosity, confidence, and critical thinking skills.
Activities are designed to be accessible for a wide range of ages and abilities, with simple prompts that encourage creativity, conversation, and exploration. There is no right or wrong way to participate—just opportunities to make, imagine, and learn together.
Participants will:
-Explore STEAM concepts through hands-on play
-Practice problem-solving and creative thinking
-Build language and storytelling skills
-Strengthen parent-child connection through collaborative learning
-Leave with the pride and confidence that comes from creating something unique
All materials are provided.
About the Instructor
Johnathan Repoyo is an early childhood educator with more than 16 years of experience supporting young children's learning and development. He holds a bachelor's degree in Human Services with a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and has worked as a classroom aide, lead teacher, behavioral and mental health specialist, and Public Media Early Childhood Specialist.
As the founder of Brainy Ink, Johnathan brings engaging mobile STEAM experiences to children, families, educators, and communities. His approach combines hands-on learning, creativity, and joyful discovery to help children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.
