Our Mini Intro class is perfect for new or hesitant swimmers looking to get comfortable in the water in a supportive group setting. This class aims to help swimmers become familiar with being in the pool and build confidence around water. We focus on foundational skills such as entering and exiting the pool safely, proper breath-holding, and going underwater. Mini Intro goals include:
1. Enter and exit the pool safely
2. Demonstrate proper breath-holding
3. Submerge underwater 10 times during class
4. Retrieve a submerged object using goggles
5. Perform an assisted front float
6. Perform an assisted back float
7. Practice assisted kicking on the front
8. Jump into the pool with assistance
Swimmers should be able to submerge comfortably and independently before progressing to Mini 1. Join us to make a splash and start a lifelong love of swimming!
