Mini Fest is a non-profit event that offers hands-on workshops led by artists and educators, helping reconnect community with imagination. This annual summer festival, which started in Chicago and has expanded to Milwaukee with the support and partnership of Milwaukee Magazine.
Our Mission: Creativity helps children grow, learn, explore, and feel confident—but not every child has access to the arts. Our goal is simple: to make art welcoming, hands-on, and available to everyone. We work with artists, educators, and creative small businesses to host workshops that encourage imagination, self-expression, and confidence.
At Mini Fest, we believe everyone deserves the chance to create, explore, and dream. Founded in 2019 by Sydney Walters, Mini Fest is working toward a more
creative and inclusive future.
