About this Event

Coyote Short is a Professional Geologist, licensed in Idaho. She is one-half Paiute-Modoc Indian and one-half French. Coyote is the last in her line to carry the ancient knowledge handed down to her by Grandmother Raven on the Paiute side and Grandmother Hallie on the Modoc side.

Born in central Idaho, she has lived in various parts of the northwest, and now makes her home in Boise, as her lineage is with the Boise Valley Tribes. Her fields of work include geology, archaeology, and chemistry, in which she strives to maintain continuity between ancient and modern knowledge, believing that the two can meld to provide complete understanding. She is a dedicated volunteer at the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology and serves on the Board of Directors.

Bring in your own fossils, minerals, rocks and anything else that you can't identify. Coyote will help you understand what you have.

Everyone must pre-register. Members and kids are free. Nonmembers $5 plus Eventbrite fee. If you must cancel, please do so on Eventbrite so we can open up your spot for others.

Please email [email protected] if you have questions.

W e hope to see you at this event!
