Minecraft Club: Grades 3-6 Minecraft Education (Late Spring)

Minecraft Education integrates seamlessly with Microsoft’s MakeCode coding platform to allow students to modify their Minecraft world with visual code. MakeCode teaches the 1010 of programming, including variables, control flow, if statements, loops and functions – all in a familiar Minecraft environment.

• Learn the basics of coding in an easy-to-use visual interface
• Use nested loops in potential activities like a chicken rain
• Play engaging mini games at the end of class

We all want our kids to find their passion or engage in activities that stimulate their love of learning. Parents will see their children learn problem solving techniques, a drive to try something new, and gain knowledge about coding and technology that can assist them in the future all while in a safe and monitored environment.

We'll meet weekly on Fridays from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for 5 weeks.

Our 5 sessions will run from April 5th to May 3rd.

All Minecraft Club dates are for Spring 2024.

Prerequisite: None. Familiarity with mouse and keyboard recommended.

The lead host will be Kannin Boulware, instructor of TechWise Academy.

TechWise Academy teaches coding and computer science to children, K-12, and introduces them to new ways to problem solve and explore curiosity and creativity. Students can explore computer science in experience-led curriculum online and in person.
