8 Week Series on Wednesday evenings starting on April 26th from 6 pm to 8:30 pm and 1 all-day retreat on Saturday, June 10th.
Mindfulness Based-Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week experiential program designed in 1979 by Jon Kabat Zin to provide participants with intensive and systematic training in mindfulness meditation and movement practices, and integrating what is learned into one’s daily life. MBSR is considered the Gold Standard of mindfulness programs. For beginners and advanced meditators alike. No meditation experience is required. MBSR is based on ancient contemplative practices integrated with western medical approaches. The experiential program harnesses inner resources and cultivates resilience.
MBSR has been researched for over 40 years and consistently delivers many vast positive outcomes, including but not limited to, increased self-awareness and emotional and attentional regulation and an increased overall sense of well-being.
In addition, benefits include reductions in symptoms for various physical and behavioral health conditions such as anxiety, depression, stress, chronic pain, and hypertension. Join us to explore how mindfulness may support you in living life more fully, with
greater ease and joy.
Home practice includes 45 minutes of daily meditation and/or mindful movement.
