*All participants must complete the 2hr introduction online recording available through the Lotus Pond.
Cost: $330 (price includes the 2hr introductory class) 16 total credit hours

Workshop Description:
During this 16-hour training you will learn how to use mindful yoga and meditative awareness to support individuals living with cancer and/or other chronic health conditions. Participants will gain experience creating safe and accessible practices for emotional and physical wellbeing.
In this training, you will:
- Explore the philosophy, research and practice of mindfulness as a neuroscientific approach for reducing suffering.
- Learn about cancer, its main treatments, and side effects.
- Understand the mental, emotional, and psychosocial impact of living with chronic health conditions
-Develop greater sensitivity to the special considerations for working with this population.
- Grow confidence teaching mindfulness practices to those with chronic health conditions.

About your Teachers:
Tammy Bernard, Med. C-IAYT
Tammy has been working as a Yoga Therapist & Integrative Therapies practitioner at UF Health Shands Hospital since 2009. Through relaxation therapy, mindfulness meditation, and gentle movement, she encourages individuals to explore the inner landscape of body, mind and heart as a pathway to self-regulation and self-compassion. In addition to working at the bedside, Tammy provides mindfulness-based trainings and classes for healthcare workers and the community.
Sharen Lock, MS, C-IAYT
Sharen has been working as a Yoga Therapist & Patient Wellness Coordinator at Moffitt Cancer Center since 2009. Her role is supporting others in finding greater ease in their body and mind through yoga therapy, meditation, mindfulness, and relaxation therapies. She enjoys making these mind-body therapies simple and accessible so that anyone can participate.
