We'll discuss The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, a powerful and beautifully written story focusing on the significance of the “neighborhood” rooted in Hispanic culture and identity. We’ll sip on fresh mango smoothies, build our own Nachos and enjoy meaningful and relaxed conversation about the book–all in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. Come hungry to celebrate culture and let's create our own neighborhood despite the challenges we all face.
