Iceman productions is a little exhilarated, and quite possibly a wee bit stimulated to announce the sexiest line up the aurally washed streets of Manchester has ever wrapped it's spicy ears around. All in aid of those good eggs at Mind Manchester and the great work they do!At the top of the bill, we bring you the enigmatic Vee VV, who harvest unpredictable vibes and cultivate the psyche of the human condition. Frantic guitar licks, underpinned by a poking and prodding rhythm section, ensure a head swimming whirlpool of a live act.
Forming the the next cheesy melting layer of the sandwich filling are Ombudsmen. A rejuvenated line up, the former instrumental act now feature the addition of a vocalist. Trying to second guess where one of Ombudsmen's chaotic numbers is heading, is like trying to second guess how many children Boris Johnson has. Come prepared and bring your dancing crocs.
The meaty base layer of the line up stars The Ian Fourcandles Experience. A stalwart of the Manchester music scene for a number of years, Mr Fourcandles is a gale force storm of passion, providing spanner-waggling and pulverising takes on everything from getting stuck in traffic to serial killers. Fill your jauntyness quota with this section of the sandwich.
To keep things ticking along and help you all listen y'self better in between the sets, whilst drummers set up, and guitarist fine tune the decay rate on their chorus pedal to the sonic ambience in the room that night, Johnny B Smooth will provide us with buttery poems and wholesome musings that make sense of the rat race.
The fundraiser will take place on Saturday 22nd October at Fuel Bar in withington. Doors will be at 7pm and the minimum donation will be £7, with all proceeds going to Mind Manchester.
Mind have been supporting better mental health for everyone, for over 30 years. They have recently launched their self-care hub for the people of Manchester and beyond. During this difficult time, they have also adjusted their local services to ensure that they can continue to support people within the community.
