The Memphis Medical District Collaborative (MMDC) is gearing up for "Meet the PR Specialist" which will be held on Thursday, September 17th, @ 4:00 pm. The "Mind Your Business" series is an educational platform of classes taught by subject matter experts to assist small business owners and entrepreneurs to scale with the skills for business cycle planning, marketing strategies, workforce building, business financials and taxes, and succession planning.
Tired of being told to "post more" and "be consistent," without a roadmap to make the content actually feel like you? You aren't alone. Cecilia Fay Creative is collaborating with MMDC to help small business owners cut through the noise by pairing sharp brand strategy with a hands-on social media framework. In this workshop you won't leave with just concepts; you'll leave with working content.
Think of your brand like a TV show or hit movie. They often take place in the same city, yet every show feels different because of the camera angles and the scenes they choose. Your values are your setting, and your content pillars are the recurring scenes that define your world. .
In this workshop, you will walk away with:
- A real, honestly-surfaced brand value (no rushed mission statements here).
- One content pillar built directly from that value.
- 1–3 draft post ideas ready to refine and publish.
- A repeatable 3-question filter to test every future post before you hit "share."
This is a working session and not a lecture so make sure to bring your ideas, and we will turn them into content that works for your business.
About Cecilia Fay
Cecilia Fay is the founder and owner of Cecilia Fay Creative, a boutique creative agency specializing in imaginative public relations, social media strategy, brand positioning, for small businesses and entrepreneurs. A graduate of the University of Memphis, Cecilia combines strategic expertise with a personable approach to help small businesses shine authentically online and in their communities.
With a background shaped by early work in Memphis restaurants and a personal journey of navigating ADHD, Cecilia brings resilience, empathy, and hustle to everything she does. Immediately after graduation, Cecilia recognized that corporate creative firms weren’t designed to meet the needs of small businesses and decided to chart her own course to fill the gap. Since going out on her own since 2019, she’s worked with a diverse portfolio of well- known local businesses, including Frank Grisanti’s, the Arcade Restaurant, Lynn Doyle Flowers and Events, Feast and Graze, and The South Main Association. Her work landed features for clients in the Memphis Business Journal, The Daily Memphian, The Memphis Flyer, and I Love Memphis, and helped them achieve measurable growth across their digital platforms.
Cecilia believes there's no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all” strategy. She offers multiple ways to collaborate, from consulting and training to full-service management and support. Whatever your business stage, Cecilia can assist you with your creative needs.
An active member of the community, Cecilia serves the Alumni Committee at Holy Rosary Catholic School, co-leads the Memphis chapter of TN Women Connect, and consistently gives back to local nonprofits and educational institutions through pro bono work. She has been featured in Storyboard Memphis, Voyager Memphis, Action News 5, Styleblueprint, and more.
