About this Event
Milwaukee’s Story of Black Wealth: Community Experience & Data Reveal
Join us for a powerful and interactive community event as we share the findings from Milwaukee County’s Story of Black Wealth initiative.
Over the past several months, we have listened deeply to the voices of community members through surveys, listening sessions, and one-on-one conversations. This event brings those voices to life—through data, dialogue, and community connection.
🌟 Featured Panel Discussion (Highlight of the Event)
At the heart of this experience is a dynamic panel conversation featuring respected community leaders who will reflect on the findings, share their perspectives, and help explore what meaningful change can look like moving forward.
Panelists Include:
- Mr. Clayborn Benson
- Dr. Kirk Harris
- Ms. Blanks
- Ms. Michelle Bryant
This conversation will center on:
- What the data is telling us about wealth in Milwaukee
- The real-life experiences behind the numbers
- What it will take to create lasting, community-driven change
What to Expect
- Data Reveal: Key insights from surveys, listening sessions, and interviews
- 🌟 Panel Discussion (Main Feature): A powerful dialogue grounded in community voice and leadership
- Community Activation: Opportunities to engage, reflect, and be part of shaping what comes next
Why This Matters
Wealth means different things to different people—but for many in Milwaukee, especially Black families, there are real barriers that make building and sustaining wealth more difficult.
This event centers those experiences and turns them into a foundation for real solutions, real strategy, and real impact.
