Milton Kingz was founded in 2012 as a quarterly event in order to build and support the Breaking scene in Milton Keynes. Produced and hosted by internationally renowned Bboy Marso with the support of world class contemporary dancer and choreographer the beloved late Helen Parlor (1975-2023), award winning event producer Rex Quinn-Cross and, the previous Buszy venue (Old Bus Station) in Milton Keynes. The event culminated in an International 1st Year Anniversary in 2013. Guests included Poe One, KhanFu & JamFu, Bboy Flo, Mouse, Swifty, Bboy VO, MDK, Arcopom, Nexttape and MK local Breaking collective Lil Tom, Meaway, Bobby & JMC.
10 years later and QueerAF has commissioned the revitalisation of the event, built for the ‘new city’ of Milton Keynes. Joining the team this year are Break To The Beat, who have worked with Black Sheep previously to put on community Block Parties (2023-24) in the city, and are leading an ongoing heritage and archiving project of the city’s hip hop culture, history and future visions. Live visual artists will also be creating graff-works, demos and participation opportunities during the event.
Battles:
One male and one female identifying breaker will battle through rounds to snatch the titles of Milton King & Kween 2024. One off, bespoke trophies have been created for the event by a local blacksmith artist and 2024’s winning King & Kween will be invited to judge 2025’s championships.

Battle competitors sign up will open at 12pm on site, first come, first served.
Photography and recordings will be taking place throughout the event, if you do not wish to be captured in any media, please let our crew know when you arrive.
Café, licensed bar and merch stands available. Free entry to IDENTITY (a student art show) is also included. On site, free parking and disabled access is available.
