Let's do a hike at Rattlesnake Point to Crawford Lake and learn about the history of the Deer Clan!This hike is one of my favourites and a very enjoyable hike. With such a beautiful trail, amazing lookout points, and native log houses for you to explore with plenty of artefacts to see and touch, it is a hike and a field trip all in one. Make sure your phone is fully charged, as you'll be taking lots of photos!
Here is what to expect for this day hike adventure:
-13-14km loop with full-body stretches before AND after the hike to ensure your body is warmed up and cooled down.
- forested paths with some areas that are really going to work your legs and glutes
- technical hiking in some areas over tree roots and rocks
- 234m elevation gain
- hike at a moderate pace with frequent breaks and frequent check in - suitable for all fitness levels
- lunch at the Visitor Centre - picnic tables available both outside and inside - bring your own lunch
- clean washrooms on site
- 10 minutes of mindful meditation at Crawford Lake (silent, quiet meditation as a self-reflective and stress reduction exercise)
What you need to bring:
- wear hiking shoes
- pack at least 8 cups of water
- lunch and snacks
- Optional: hiking poles
MEETING SPOT:
Park for FREE at: 7384 Walkers Line, Milton, ON
Because we are parking at 7384 Walkers Line, Milton, ON, there is no park registration required (free entry and free parking).
MEETING TIME:
We start at 11:00am. Please be at the parking for 11:00am or earlier. I will guide everyone through a warmup and then we will start the hike.

This meetup will be capped at 10 spots. To join, please reserve a spot by sending the meetup fee as outlined below:

$30 any time before 6:00pm Thursday
$35 after 6:01pm Thursday
