Milonga Qilombo: Folklore Night!Saturday, September 27
Concert, Class + Milonga Qilombo
We’re so excited to present a special Milonga Qilombo evening on Saturday, September 27, with a focus on Argentine folklore, specifically the exquisite music and dance of Argentine zamba.
Pianist Emiliano Messiez & Guitarist Fede Diaz will perform a concert of folkloric music to start the night. Then, dancer Amelia Foss will teach a one-hour introductory class in Argentine zamba. Then comes Milonga Qilombo with DJ Ignacio Ondartz, plus live tango music, with a tiny bit of folklore mixed in. It’s going to be a special night and we hope you’ll join us!
7-8 pm: CONCERT - Appetizers and drinks provided
8:30-9:30 pm: CLASS - Introduction to Argentine zamba
9:30 pm-2 am: MILONGA - DJed and live music
