Millwork Conversations is a happy hour chat between Omaha’s creators, innovators, artists, thought leaders and activators. Millwork Conversations will provide an opportunity to learn from people across communities right here in Nebraska and across the country about new ideas and what’s possible – how to push past real and imagined boundaries. Each month will provide an inspiring, memorable experience for attendees through compelling conversations.

Joining us this month is Conversation Leader, Borris Powell...

Borris Powell is a Chicago fashion designer who makes a point to live for today and for the moment. Always dreaming about tomorrow's possibilities, Borris never loses sight of the excitement of every second of today, believing incredible beauty exists in the world if you just pay attention.

On August 24th, Borris will debuts his latest collection opening Omaha Fashion Week with an original music score performed by a live band, featuring models and dancers...with vocals provided by Borris himself.

Borris will tell a deeply personal story of his life as a little boy growing up in Alabama, trying to be his authentic self, even when that flew in the face of gender norms of the day. This is the first time Borris has debuted a collection outside of Chicago. Join us for a conversation on this amazing show, the Qu Ee n's Kourt!
