Enjoy an afternoon of festive cheer and holiday spirit as the Mansion celebrates the season with a variety of delightful activities for all ages.
The Mansion House will be adorned in its finest holiday décor, and festive music from Bobbie Stubee will fill the air as she plays Christmas carols and other tunes on the mandolin. Tours on both floors of the Mansion will be available.
The featured guest speaker, Danielle Cartier, is a visual artist, professor and muralist. She is the owner of the DC Gallery + Studio on 508-510 North High Street in Millville. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a Master of Fine Arts, Cartier creates large-scale, mixed-media paintings and public art murals in the Philadelphia region and southern New Jersey. She will share her expertise on local murals and discuss the process of creating murals from start to finish.
Kathryn Saxton-Granato, Program Specialist with South Jersey Curations LLC, will present a festive talk titled "Plum Pudding, Figgy Pudding! - What is Christmas Pudding" which will offer an insightful introduction to the history and tradition of Christmas culinary delights.
Christmas cookies, holiday punch and other special treats await Millville Historical Society members and their guests. There is no charge for the event, but donations are welcomed. Parking is behind the Wood Mansion accessible from Church Street.
