Millennium Park 200 1st Street Oswego Lake)
Lower Millennium Plaza Park, right on the shores of Lakewood Bay in downtown Lake Oswego, Oregon,
Join us out at a perfect rolling destination for our Oregon Wheelchair Hikers group! This paved waterfront plaza is one of those rare spots where everything just works — smooth surfaces, wide open spaces, and killer views of Oswego Lake all around us.
We will start at the park’s prime location (200 1st St, between 1st and 2nd Street) we will rolled straight into the action. The entire plaza is fully paved, so no tricky transitions or surprise gravel — just easy cruising past the reflecting pond and the striking 7-foot bronze sculpture that greets everyone. The pergola offers great shade, and the “Bosque” area with tables and chairs will give us a perfect spot to park up, chat, and enjoy the bay views without anyone having to worry about terrain.
It’s also a great place to watch non-motorized boats ,kayaks, paddleboards, with concrete platforms for water access — though we will stick to the dry land and just soaked in the scenery. The park doubles as a community hub, hosting the Saturday Farmers’ Market, “Movies in the Park,” and “Sunday Moonlight & Music” concerts. Even on a quiet hike day, the energy of the place makes you feel like you’re part of something bigger.
Wheelchair Notes
* Fully paved plaza and paths — electric and manual chairs
* Free parking nearby at Lakeview Village and The Windward garages (easy access, short roll to the park).
We will wrap up our roll feeling refreshed and grateful — this is exactly the kind of inclusive, beautiful, and effortless spot that makes wheelchair hiking in Oregon so special. If you’re looking for a quick, scenic, fully accessible waterfront adventure with views of Oswego Lake and Lakewood Bay, put Lower Millennium Plaza Park on your list!
Here’s to more rolling adventures together!
