The event will start at the restaurant at 16. You can enjoy turkidelika music played by our djs, also you can eat or drink at the nice restaurant of Hellstens Glashus. Around 19:00 we will start playing. more details about the band miklagård is as below:
A short intro about the band: The band Miklagård is a pyschodelic-progressive rock band based in Stockholm with a primary focus on Anatolian music. The name Miklagård was used by the vikings as a terminology for the capital of Byzantine empire (The current city of Istanbul). The band was formed originally in 2016 performing in a more folk-rock style and has now shaped into a psychodelic-progressive rock band. While offering a unique and modernized rockish flavour, the band aims at composing own songs as well as playing cover songs which have their roots in Anatolian folk music; old examples (from 80s) of similar movements are due to widely known artists such as Baris Manco, Cem Karaca, Erkin Koray, and Selda Bagcan. Miklagård has performed several live performances mainly around the Stockholm area and gained increasing popularity among music lovers of different nationalities, in particular during the post-pandemics. Considering the recent global attention given to other Anatolian cover bands, the unique synthesis of eastern and western nuances in Miklagård’s music is arousing continuous interest on Rock lovers in scandinavic countries and more.
