Mike Powell and The Echosound is a five-headed sonic creature from Syracuse, NY that plays original Americana Rock music
Built from friendships, chance encounters and a shared obsession with getting the sound just right, Mike Powell and the Echosound are a band defined by chemistry. In 2021 frontman Mike Powell assembled a group of seasoned players including guitarist and long time collaborator John Hanus, bassist Zak Masoud, drummer Adam Manion and Jeff Aderman on keyboards. The result is something special: a tight, dynamic blues based rock band that can jam, but also has hooky songs that make the crowd dance. Known for their heartfelt lyrics, infectious grooves and expressive musicianship, an Echosound show is a full-body experience not to be missed. Take the experience home with their debut album, 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘚𝘱𝘰𝘰𝘯 𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘺𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘯, which was produced, recorded and mixed by the band at Big Blue North in Utica.
