About this Event
Join saxophonist Mike Cohen and his quartet for an evening of live jazz celebrating his new release "Winter Sun."
Featuring Brian Gelfand -piano, Danny Weller-bass and Ronen Itzik -drums, the quartet will perform music from the CD in a large recital hall with a wonderful sound.
Although not initially planned this way, this recording ended up being inspired by Mike's battle with Leukemia when he was 13. It took many, many years to be able to talk about that time in his life. Once he opened up, he found himself writing about it.
CD's and download cards will be available for purchase. There wil be 1 set followed by a reception with the band.
St Michaels Recital Hall in the Parish House is located at 225 west 99 st between Broadway and Amsterdam
