Mikah Meyer
Raised as a Lutheran preacher’s kid in the flat state of Nebraska (Larry Meyer, U of Nebraska Lincoln 1989-2005), Mikah is passionate about exploring all types of outdoor locations, and helping people of divergent backgrounds find joy and common ground through their shared love of nature.
This advocacy is seen through his short film Canyon Chorus, and via his diverse adventures, including runs across the states of Minnesota, Mississippi, and Nebraska, and a 3-year, world record setting road trip to all of America’s 400+ National Park Service sites.
His next short film Miss Adventure chronicles one of these runs, and his following, feature length film Wild Goose Chase covers the expedition to every national park across the USA.
Mikah is the creator of the Outside Safe Space symbol, which is sold at park gift shops and recreation stores including REI nationwide, and is currently being worn by over 100,000 people in the United States as a non-verbal signifier of LGBTQ+ allyship in outdoor, rural, and active spaces.
He has been featured by The Today Show, NPR, Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Guardian, and National Geographic Traveler.
