Zum ersten Mal live in Deutschland: silent green freut sich in Zusammenarbeit mit purge.xxx, die legendäre ungarische Band Balaton willkommen zu heißen.
Gegründet 1979 von Mihály Víg und Károly Hunyadi, wurde Balaton zum Grundpfeiler der Underground Szene Budapests in den 1980er Jahren und spielte ihr erstes Konzert im Hof einer psychiatrischen Ambulanz. Im selben Jahr schloss sich Víg der einflussreichen Band trabant an und begann anschließend eine der großen Regisseur-Komponist-Partnerschaften durch seine Arbeit mit Béla Tarr. Für diese Zusammenarbeit ist er international am bekanntesten: Er komponierte die Filmmusik zu Werken wie Verdammnis, Die Werckmeister Harmonien und Sátántangó — in letzterem spielt er zudem die Hauptrolle.
Gemeinsam mit Balaton wird Mihály Víg Songs aus den Filmen von Béla Tarr performen sowie Stücke aus ihrem eigenen Repertoire und dem von trabant.

Performing live in Germany for the first time, silent green in collaboration with purge.xxx, is delighted to welcome legendary Hungarian band Balaton.
Formed by Mihály Víg and Károly Hunyadi in 1979, Balaton became the cornerstone of Budapest's underground music movement throughout the 1980s, performing their first concert in the courtyard of a psychiatric outpatient clinic. In the same year, Víg joined the hugely influential trabant, and thereafter began one of the great director-composer relationships in his work with Béla Tarr. It is this work for which he is best known internationally: composing the scores for films including Damnation, Werckmeister Harmonies, and Satantango — in which he also acts in the main role.
Víg will perform with Balaton the songs from the films of Béla Tarr, alongside their own catalogue, and that of trabant.
