Migrant Liaison Training In-Person at MDE

Join us for the Migrant Liaison Training – In-Person on Wednesday, August 14th, from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Minnesota Department of Education, located at 400 Stinson Blvd NE, Minneapolis, MN 55413. This full-day training is designed to equip migrant liaisons and education professionals with the tools, strategies, and resources needed to effectively support migratory students and their families. Participants will engage in interactive sessions, network with peers, and gain valuable insights into best practices for outreach, advocacy, and educational support. It is highly recommended that liaisons attend this training prior to the start of the school year to ensure they are well-informed about federal requirements, available resources, and practical tools essential for serving migratory students effectively. Even if you don’t believe your school currently serves migratory students, attending is still strongly encouraged—students often move between districts, and being prepared ensures no student falls through the cracks.
