Midwinter Break sees a long-time married couple (played by Ciarán Hinds and Lesley Manville) take a trip to Amsterdam, in which old memories resurface and tensions emerge in life-changing ways. Featuring superb performances by the two leads, and based on an acclaimed novel by Bernard MacLaverty, the film is a moving, heartfelt meditation on faith and love.
