This is a full day class taught by Lisa Varnes-Epstein, PA (HeartSong Ways), and hosted by Lucky Tomaszek, LM, CPM (Transitions: Birth Services for Every Body).
PLEASE NOTE: the location has been updated to the new office of Transitions Birth Services.
This full day course with potluck lunch is designed to meet the learning needs of birth workers serving community birth in any capacity including doulas, students of midwifery, experienced midwives, EMS. The participant will have an opportunity to actively role play during the simulations in whatever capacity they decide is appropriate.
This course is intended to maximize integration of NRP skills through SIMULATION, DEBRIEFING, and SKILLS STATIONS.
It is also designed to meet the learning needs of participants who take either the ESSENTIALS or ADVANCED online test pathway.
This course satisfies Part 2 (Instructor Led Event) of the NRP requirements for an NRP Provider card.
Registrants who anticipate completing coursework to obtain an NRP Provider card will need to have taken the online test PRIOR to course date. Lisa Varnes-Epstein cannot be held responsible for registrants who fail to complete the NRP Provider requirements as detailed on nrplearningplatform.com. If you do not complete the online class and test before the course, you will not be on the roster the day of the course.
