Troupe Dagaz is happy to be hosting "Midsommar Nights Dream" belly dance showcase at Memories Event Venue in Frankfort, KY! We host a hafla (party) once or twice a year to highlight our eclectic performers, students and friends with a dynamic theme in mind. This summer we are going with a cross between Shakespeare's "Midsummer Nights Dream" full of fun, whimsy, fairies, romance and tricksters or the horror movie "MIdsommar"full of pagan, trippy, symbolic vibes. We know there will be a lot of flowers and bright colors with either path you decide! -costume contest: feel free to go with a character from either theme or get as creative as you want!
-wreath exchange: it can go on your door, it can go on your head, maybe it can do both buahahaha. At intermission we will do the wreathe exchange. Here's how it works, bring your wreathe we will attach a number and then put the number in a bucket at intermission those who submitted a wreathe will draw a number! We love finding ways to encourage creativity while appreciating others!
