Midsommar Immersive LARP Ritual

Who or what will you be?

Enter an immersive trance like midsummers world of character building, costume making, sound, ritual and improvisation led by Kiik who will start with an introduction to their work, RPG/LARPing & performance frameworks before leading you into character building, costume making and more.

You are invited to take part in an Immersive Midsommar Ritual, this session will start off with a character / avatar building workshop in which we will all create new performance personas to take part in a performative ritual together towards the end of the session.

A short introduction to Kiiks Amor's work as an example will be shown and discussed to start the session. We will then discuss live RPG / LARPing and some performance frameworks, exercises to get everyone involved and get creative with our inner selves. This will be explorative / open and communicative to make sure everyone understands and expresses what and how they want to feel on the evening. A lot of guided improvisation will take place, this workshop will last for 4 hours to develop a trance state. After we've worked through our characters and improvisations together we will then create our characters' aesthetics; creating looks, symbols and graphic performance scores and come together to do a final ritual including movement, contact improvisation, vocalisation and sound making. Please bring any materials, costumes, make-up, art materials and instruments / sound making materials.

Do you commit to being part human? Part of the physical plane? Humanness guides you? Or is you? Can you not sense from another perspective? Or do you do both, dive into many perspective senses(s)(x), sense as human, sense as water, sense as universe. One by one, a trail of accumulative differed experience through different parts of one's sensorial system, do you know why and who made you like this? What for? Everything is here for a different experience of itself guided by but not succumbed to their structured parameters. When your organs multiply, where do they experience from? Do you contain a quantum superposition of sensorial adjustments and states? Are you supernatural, or just natural? Are you artificial intelligence, fighting with itself to find the perfect response in terms of sensorial, corporeal states feeding themselves in order to unify the ultimate climactic position of your world(s)(x).
