Midnight Voodoo is back and taking over Paramour on Friday, July 3rd, with a lineup featuring a special guest and family. Expect an only vinyl journey of heavy-hitting grooves from every continent.
Joining us all the way from Lisbon is MAMA DEMBA. A true archaeologist of Lusophone music and co-founder of Tabanka Records and Mindel Reggae Soundsystem, this Cape Verdean selector owns one of the finest african vinyl collections around.
Sharing the bill EL NICOYA. Rooted in Nicaragua, he takes listeners on a psychedelic journey through Central American and beyond. From Cumbia to MPB, Garage Rock and Salsa, El Nicoya explores the regionds diverse musical landscape, celebrating heritage and creativity.
Completing the lineup is Midnight Voodoo's own ADAM BKR.
His sets explore global grooves from the 70s to the 90s, blending Zouk, Cumbia, Japanese boogie, Balkan sounds, Funaná and other danceable sounds from across the world. His sound is shaped by years of digging in places like Japan, Indonesia, Serbia or Morocco, where he built a record collection rooted in local rhythms and unexpected finds.
