It's a new month and a new Midnight Movie @ 8 at Ten10 Brewing, where we bring the best in cult cinema, beer, and food at a much more reasonable hour. Ho-ho-holy cow, the holidays are already upon us! What better way to celebrate than with some strangulations, decapitations, electrocutions, a whole lot of flashbacks, and a garbage day, all of which can only be found in the 1987 holidaysploitation flick, "Silent Night, Deadly Night 2."
You might be thinking to yourself, "But I haven't seen the first Silent Night, Deadly Night! How will I know what's going on?" Not to worry, since the first movie will be shown at the Enzian on Friday, December 6th as a part of their midnight Freaky Fridays programming (this wasn't at all planned, just simple kismet). So maybe after you catch Dave Dondero play at the B-Side at 8:00 that night, you can make your way on over to the Enzian! However, if you can't make it, you'll still be in safe hands as about 1/3 of this movie is just flashbacks of the original, ala "Airplane 2." After the death of his psychotic brother in the first movie, little Ricky Caldwell, is adopted by a loving couple who raised him as best they could. Unfortunately, the traumas Ricky experienced from the loss of his biological parents and the actions of his brother were left unchecked, which culminated on one fateful night when Ricky decided to punish all of those who he deemed "naughty," picking up where his killer-Santa brother left off.
