About 1963 Citroën 2CV:

This 1963 Citroën 2CV, affectionately named "Roger," serves as a tribute to its original owner, Mr. Roger Clapp. As the former CEO of Lubrizol, Mr. Clapp developed a deep connection with France while establishing a factory there and collaborating closely with French colleagues. He held a profound admiration for the 2CV, viewing it as a masterpiece of simple yet brilliant engineering.

To honor his career and passion for cars, his French colleagues surprised him at his 1975 retirement party in Cleveland, Ohio, by shipping the vehicle across the Atlantic. The car eventually passed from Mr. Clapp to his grandson, who spent his childhood summers washing and driving the automobile with his grandfather. Today, the grandson continues to maintain and restore the vehicle, preserving both a piece of French automotive history and a cherished family bond.
