About this Event
Mills, mansions and medieval mayhem merit
Midlothian musings on this walk along the North
Esk river to Lasswade via Roslin Glen. There are
vestiges of paper, carpet and gunpowder mills,
an architectural jewel (in a sad state), at least
two castles, a glen carved by glaciers, beautiful
ancient woodland and the site of a battle
(remembered in local gory names).
A free bus will take you to the start.
