Midlife Hikers evening walk at Scarborough Mere

🥾 5½ miles 🥾 Leisurely 🥾 Leader: Vicky O 🥾
This walk will take us past the Mere and follow the path through Bluebell Woods and then up to Oliver's Mount, where we can enjoy the views over the town and towards the Castle headland and the sea from the war memorial. We'll then head back down towards the Mere along the road racing circuit.
🅿️ Free parking available at the Mere or along Mere Lane. Please park with consideration for the local residents.
🚌 East Yorkshire bus 7/7A and Coastliner 843 run from Scarborough station, with return buses until late. Coastliner 843 also runs from Malton and York, and we should finish in plenty of time for the last bus back just before 20:30
🥾 This walk is through woodland, on trail paths and minor roads. Please wear appropriate footwear.
🐶 Dogs are welcome, and must be kept on a lead at all times.
Midlife Hikers is a Ramblers group for people in their 40s and 50s, and our walks are led by volunteers. Non-members are welcome to try us out for free for up to 3 walks but then we ask you to join the Ramblers.
