Fasten your seatbelts as we take you on a journey through the musical career of the King of Rock 'n' Roll from the early days at Sun Records with The Blue Moon Boys (Elvis, Scotty & Bill) through to the very last days and major biggest selling hits of all time.
We are honoured to have Jay Dupuis, hailing from Louisiana USA, on our lineup for the second M.E.F! Jay won the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist World Championship in 2014. This is the only contest that is produced and sanctioned by the estate of Elvis Presley (Elvis Presley Enterprises). His vocal ability, incredible likeness, and natural charisma have made him one of the foremost, sought after Elvis Tribute Artists on the planet.
European Champion Ciaran Houlihan will be coming all the way from Ireland to entertain you, and believe me when I say that this ETA absoutely wow's audiences with his efortlessly poweful voice which is filled with soul, and chanels the style of The King to perfection. Hearing Ciaran sing all the Big Ballads, High Octone 70s era tracks and Gospel favorites really sends chills down your spine. If this is your first time seeing him, you'll soon understand what I mean!
Emilio Santoro (at only 22 years old) has already become a renowned entertainer and ETA since winning the European Championship and also the "Images Of The King" World Championship at Elvis Week at Graceland! Emilio is constantly on tour, not just in UK but globally. If you haven't yet seen him in person, or on TV (including the clip from "America's Got Talent" Final) then you are in for a treat as Emilio will be portraying the 50's Rock n Roll era, as well as a set of Elvis' Movie Songs.
The Creoles will be the house band for this event. They formed in 2019 as the backing band for Emilio Santoro. The band specialise in the 1950's and 60's Presley sounds, especially the earlier "Sun" period in the styles of Scotty Moore, Bill Black, DJ Fontana and Floyd Cramer thanks to a heavy Rockabilly influence and background, and are the only band recreating this sound authentically. In 2022 the band started to be asked to back more and more Elvis shows and have shown their ability to branch out to perform all of the different periods of the King's music including the 1970's Vegas era catalogue. They are now becoming one of the "go-to" backing bands for related shows.
This event is taking place in a stunning venue in a Midlands location which is easily accessible by Road or Public Transport. The Derby Leisure & Events Venue (used to be The Rolls Royce Club) has hosted many artists over the years, and has been a renowned venue for Rock n Roll, Northern Soul and many other first class Sub-Culture style events for many years.
During the breaks between between the live music expect to hear Elvis Records, and also original version of the king's tracks (for example Something by The Beatles, You Don't Have To Say You Love Me by Dusty Springfield, Mystery Train by Little Junior Parker and Polk Salad Annie by Tony Joe White) plus a little bit of Rock n Roll and Soul & Motown from the 50s 60s and 70s thrown in for good measure!
