Middleton’s Got Active!
Free event in Middleton Park Sunday 16th August 12noon-3pm
This event is part of Friends of Middleton Park’s summer programme. Like all their events, it is free and open to all comers. Everyone welcome!
On offer are bowling with Middleton Park Bowling Club, den building with Chris, disc golf (pictured), an obstacle course by South Leeds Lakers, training with Middleton Park Football Club, table tennis, plus skipping and games with Keepfit Julie
Event organiser Rachel Darton said, “Please come along and collect your event schedule so that you can tick off each activity that you’ve tried. This is the first time we have run this event but it could become a regular part of our summer programme. We look forward to welcoming people into our wonderful Park!”
Bean Towed Coffee will be providing coffee (sourced from local roaster Recent Beans in Wakefield) and refreshments will also be available at the Bowling Club pavilion. Please bring your re-usable mug to save waste. Unfortunately the cafe will be closed for the weekend because of staff holidays, but you could always bring a picnic.
The visitor centre will be open for toilets and drinking water. Please remember to bring your refillable water bottle.
We look forward to sharing a great event on Sunday 16th August!
