About this Event
The 49%, a women’s rights media and advocacy non-profit organization, will host a high-impact panel during Berlin Freedom Week spotlighting Middle Eastern minority dissidents in partnership with Museum für Werte.
The discussion will elevate Amazigh, Christian, Druze, Jewish, Kurdish, and Yezidi perspectives on conflict and human rights, highlighting not only the urgent need for protection and accountability but also these communities’ bold vision for the region’s future.
Inspired by the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, the panel will also explore the deep connections between Iranian women fighting for dignity and others across the Middle East resisting violence and repression.
By bridging divides and centering authentic voices, this unique conversation will offer valuable insights for human rights advocates, students of the Middle East, defense and policy leaders, and the broader public. The aim is to show that the fight for freedom in the Middle East is a moral and strategic imperative.
