We are excited to announce the first Middle Earth Strategy Battle Game (MESBG) tournament of 2023at the Game Kastle in Fremont! This is a beginner-friendly tournament, but basic knowledge of the core
rules is recommended. Painted armies are encouraged, but not required. A reasonable (close-enough)
proxy could be used with advanced permission from Tournament Organizer (TO).
The tournament will consist of three games at 600 points. Scenarios will be chosen from the Matched
Play Guide (18 options). We will use the veto system for scenario selection. This means that three
scenarios will be randomly selected per round, all from separate pools. Each player will then have the
opportunity to veto one scenario. This ensures a balanced tournament for everyone involved.
Restrictions: There will be a 3-model minimum, and 54-model Maximum (9% of point cost). No Red
Alliances. If playing a Legendary Legion, please be ready to show a copy of it to your opponent (phone or
print) – same for units not located in the regular army book. If this is an issue for you, please let the TO
know.
4/29 Event Schedule:
Round 1: 11:00 AM – 1:15 PM
Lunch: 1:15 PM to 2:15 PM
Round 2: 2:15 PM to 4:30 PM
Round 3: 4:30 PM to 6:45 PM
Prizes*: 6:45PM to 7:00 PM
Entry Fee: $20
*Prizes will vary based on attendance
You will pay day of the event.
